My name is Chris and I am a young Lincoln admirer who lives near downtown Springfield, Illinois – Mr. Lincoln’s Home Town, thus the name of my blog, “Heart of Lincoln Land”. I enjoy the historic urban environment of downtown Springfield and living so close to the places near and dear to Abraham Lincoln. It’s neat to be able to walk the same streets that he walked. I am a big Lincoln fan, and I have been since I was a kid. Abraham Lincoln is the central figure in my life – my personal hero – and I try as best as I can to live by his morals and ideals.
I also love 80s music (and the 1980s in general) and video games (especially 2D classic video games, and video games styled like them). I am a very creative individual – I design Lincoln T-shirts, I do photography, I write music, and I’m even writing a Lincoln video game. Living in Springfield, you get a lot of Lincoln inspiration for these kinds of things. You can check out some of my work at lincolnapparel.com (T-shirts), lincolnapparel.etsy.com (my Etsy store) and at lincolnsoft.com (software and games I’ve written). I’m also interested in computers and technology, politics, and urban planning.
On my blog you can find thoughts and musings about Abraham Lincoln, Springfield, and my other interests, updates on my Lincoln projects and any other projects I’m working on, and anything else I feel like rambling about. I hope you enjoy reading what I have to say.
